about

I am a researcher. I enjoy investigating many things, including educational games, science education, data visualization, and network analysis techniques. I got my Ph.D. in Science Education in 2010 from Arizona State University, where I also got my Masters in Physics. My undergrad degree (from UCSD) was in Physics/Astrophysics.

I have always been interested in teaching and learning, mostly w/r/t science and especially physics. One of my favorite memories from high school was drawing diagrams of black holes on the board (while waiting for a class to start) and trying to explain to my friends just how cool and amazing science can be.

I also enjoy photography, playing soccer, traveling, building things out of LEGO bricks, and spending time with the best dog in the world.
